Join us for a unique workshop dedicated to safety, anatomy and first aid in shibari practice. If you want to tie or be tied consciously, responsibly and more safely – this event is for you.
🔸Instructors:
Theory – MSc Zbigniew Drapa
Master of medical rehabilitation. He has been leading shibari safety workshops for four years. On a daily basis, he supports riggers and rope bottoms with injury prevention and treatment.
Practical session – Pagan
He will lead the workshop section, during which we will translate the theory we have learned into real-life scenarios and the most popular ties.

Topographical anatomy of the musculoskeletal system – what you need to know about the body
Physiology of the joints and tissues stimulated during tying
The impact of shibari on the musculoskeletal system – normal vs. unwanted reactions
Where to place the rope and where to absolutely avoid it

How to recognise warning signs
The most common injuries and strains associated with popular ties
Distinguishing physiological sensations from dangerous ones (especially nerve compression)
Tying people with existing health conditions

Preparing the body for a session – “conditioning” for models
What to do in the event of an injury, fainting or an unwanted reaction
Practical analysis: TK, strappado, futomomo and other popular ties
